Sending Idyll Wine Co internationally with Export Coordinator Esther Patindol

The award winning wines and ciders produced by Idyll Wine Co sail the world and end up in 46 countries across the globe. Export Coordinator Esther is part of the magic behind the operation, and we caught up with her to discuss all things export!

What does your role as Export Coordinator entail ‘in a nutshell’?

Esther: The main aim is to look after the customers sales order from receipt, up until the time of delivery, including sorting export permits and documentations for import clearance. It may sound so simple, but there are a lot of small challenges along the way which makes the role exciting.

What is the most surprising country Idyll Wine Co. has exported to?

Esther: I never expected Idyll Wine Co. to export wine to France knowing the country is one of the largest wine producers in the world, but we love that Idyll Wine Co has a presence in the wine capital!

How did you come to end up at Idyll Wine Co?

Esther: Export Coordinator is my first role in Australia since moving from Singapore. I was contacted for this new opening and hired whilst on holiday back home in the Philippines. We were ahead of the times for video conferencing interviews!

What sort of products does Idyll Wine Co. export overseas?

Esther: We export bulk wines, table wines – red and whites; sparkling and still wines, as well as ready-to-drink products such as Ciders.

What is your favourite product produced by Idyll Wine Co?

Esther: Personally, I like sweet wine so I enjoy our Pink Moscato, which is exported to Japan and China.

What do you think is the best part about Idyll Wine Co as a business?

Esther: Undoubtably how Idyll Wine Co innovates as a business; it does not limit its products to just wines, it ventures into Ready-to-Drink products such as vodka and gin mixers, a range of ciders, as-well as non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice. Learn more about the products we can produce here.

What part of your role do you enjoy the most?

Esther: Knowing that you make the customers happy and satisfied at the end of the day is a small win for me – and for Idyll Wine Co.
